    EXPLORE: Roundstone Outdoors for all your SUPing, windsurfing, kayaking needs, Roundstone Bay & Island Tours, climb Errisbeg for spectacular views, indulge in lobster lunches and island hopping with Roundstone Bay & Island tours, Ballynahinch Castle Hotel and surrounding grounds for magical walks or fly fishing, hire bikes or walk and explore the Green Way, the Bog Road and surrounding blanket bog, sail in a traditional Galway Hooker on Roundstone Bay, ramble along the award winning and much photographed white sands and aqua waters of Gurteen beach & Dog’s Bay beach, the most beautiful beaches in the west! Ask us about some hidden local gems too. Or simply enjoy a refreshing or warming drink and soak in the sunset overlooking the harbour.

    BALLYCONNEELY – A 17-minute drive along the coast, Ballyconneely has a striking landscape with rugged rocks and shingle beaches, there is lots on offer particularly for the surfing, swimming, golfing & horse-riding enthusiasts.

    EXPLORE: Golf at the renowned Connemara Links, Surfing at Doonloughan beach, walking & swimming at the Coral Marconi Loop for a walk- through history and the Derrigimlagh bog, an unforgettable experience horse riding along the beach at The Point Pony Trekking & Horse Riding Centre, you can boat trip to Slyne Head & lighthouse to see the most westerly point of Ireland.

    CLIFDEN– 25-minute drive by either the coast or the Bog Road, offering a fine selection of café’s, restaurants, pubs with traditional live music, gift shops, including art, locally hand-crafted glass, jewellery & fashion.

    LETTERFRACK – 42-minute drive via the coast or through the Inagh Valley, home of the Connemara National Park, and the Diamond Mountain (a must for adventurist walkers!) pubs, live music, book shops, Bog week & Sea week.

    Cleggan/Cladaghduff Peninsula; 40-minute drive from Roundstone, walk the Omey strand, swim at Sallerna beach, eat at Oliver’s Bar.

    Inishbofin; 10km by ferry west of Cleggan is the quaint and timeless Inishbofin, rich in history and stunning scenery, walk the island loop, charter a rib, hire a bike, eat at The Beach Day’s Bar & Restaurant, Doonmore Hotel & Restaurant, Inish bofin House Hotel & more.

    The Killary; Must stop for award winning food The Misunderstood Heron food truck, get moving at The Killary Adventure Centre, explore the Fjord on a cruise, and walk the famine trail.

    Also recommended: South Connemara, Inagh Lough & Valley, Westport & Croagh Patrick, Achill Island, Arran Islands & Galway City.
